Circular Deliveries Information
Read This :
Please read this and the Deliverers` Handbook and Contract completely from beginning to end. Receiving this does not imply you will be employed into this position. this is merely an information pack for you to look at until I meet with you and confirm that the position is yours. You will be working for PMP Distribution Auckland, Wellington and ChristchurchGeneral:
You will be required to fold where necessary and deliver the circulars to all the letterboxes (except NO CIRCULARS letterboxes) in your area. You must complete the deliveries on time normally you get 1-2 days to deliver the circulars any dumping or disposing of will result in loss of job.Transport:
You may deliver the circulars by walking or by bicycle.Crate
: If using a bicycle you will probably need a crate. An ideal crate is a plastic crate called a Cube Crate available from most Plastic shops or Department stores for around $9. If you have problems getting one contact me and I will do my best to help.Tax:
As a Contractor, you pay 15% withholding tax. This is paid to Inland Revenue and can be claimed back by you at the end of the financial year. As a contractor you can claim any expenses you have incurred throughout the year to carry out your deliveries e.g. tyres, bike, bags, protective clothing, etc.If you are still a school student you are exempt from tax until you have earned $2360.00 Gross for a year
ACC:
as a contractor you are responsible for paying your own ACC. School Students generally dont pay ACC, contact me for more details.Map:

Then consider do you have the time to do the deliveries each week and weekend. Remember this is not a spare time job. It is a position that requires you to do your deliveries on time and to cover all houses and streets. Remember you are part of a team in Ashburton / Methven Rakaia and Mayfield which is part of the New Zealand Team of Circular Deliverers. An extensions of time for delivery of Circulars will only will given in exceptional circumstances. Not just because you ran out of time with Playing sport or went away for the day. You get 2 days to deliver most circulars and most areas take no more than 2 - 3 hours at the most to complete.Delivery Sheet:
This is the piece of paper that comes with your circulars please keep this and check it of against your pay sheet to make sure you have been paid for all the work you doPay:
You are paid once a month, on the first Wednesday of the month. You are normally paid for all the deliveries from the previous month. Your pay is Direct Credited to your bank account this is the only way which you will receive your Salary (pay). Any queries concerning your pay please wait until you get your pay slip before querying your pay. Normally pay slips arrive 5 -7 day after your pay goes in.Pay Rate:
Rate will be confirmed at time of interview. This Works out at around $50 to per month for an average area of 200 letterboxes but this is subject to how many circulars there is to deliver. Please ask for more detailsDrop Off Point:
When you first begin delivering circulars on your first delivery of circulars we will decide on a drop off point this may be at the front door or back door or in the garage it will be a place where you leave your leftovers. When the circulars are dropped we will pickup any leftovers.Delivery Report:
When you have finished delivering circulars in your area and have completed your area please phone, fax, email or txt me to let me know your area is finished. Yes it is an answer phone that will take your message.All you need to say is your name or area number and if you were short of any circulars and which ones and approximately how many short.
If you had some left over then all you need to say is your name or area number and the name of the circulars you were delivering and thats all. Remember it better late than never. Not phoning, faxing, emailing or txting in might result in your area being reported as not finished or completed and therefore you may not be paid.
Leftover Circulars:
Please leave out your leftover circulars in a supermarket bag with the top tied and leave them in the place where your circulars get dropped off.Holidays:
If you are planning to go on holiday give me warning at least 21 days(Christmas and School Holidays check newsletter for details) in advance especially if you cannot find a reliever. Leaving it to the last minute causes a lot of problems especially when I have to find the reliever. So in your spare time before the next holidays talk to your friends and find a reliever that can fill in for you while you are away on holiday or just away for a few days. Normally it is your responsibility to make sure your circulars are delivered whether you do them or you find someone else. Under some circumstances this is not possible. .Delivery Days:
Weekend - You will recieve your circulars on a Friday and can deliver them any time on the Saturday or SundayMid Week - You will recieve your circulars on a Monday and can deliver them any time on the Tuesday or Wednesday
