Circular Deliveries Information Sheet

This is an Information page for those who are considering the position of delivering circulars.

The company you will be working for is PMP Distribution

General: You will be required to fold where necessary and deliver the circulars to all the letterboxes (except NO CIRCULARS letterboxes) in your area. You must complete the deliveries on time normally you get 1-2 days to deliver the circulars any dumping or disposing of will result in loss of job.

Area Size:   The average area to deliver is 160 houses (letterboxes) , if you want a bigger area then you can have 2 areas

Transport: You may deliver the circulars by walking or by bicycle.

Crate: If using a bicycle you will probably need a crate. An ideal crate is a plastic crate called a Cube Crate available from most Plastic shops or Department stores for around $9. If you have problems getting one contact me and I will do my best to help.

Tax: As a Contractor, you pay 15% withholding tax. .( School Students Don`t Pay Tax - Read note below))

If you are still a school student you are exempt from tax until you have earned over $2360.00 in a financal year (financal year is 1 April to 31 March)

ACC: as a contractor you are responsible for paying your own ACC. ( School Students Don`t Pay ACC)

Folding Circulars: Most Circulars will require folding

Unable to Complete: Then consider do you have the time to do the deliveries each week and weekend. Remember this is not a spare time job. It is a position that requires you to do your deliveries on time and to cover all houses and streets. Remember you are part of a team in Ashburton / Methven Rakaia and Mayfield which is part of the New Zealand Team of Circular Deliverers. An extensions of time for delivery of Circulars will only will given in exceptional circumstances. You get 2 days to deliver most circulars and most areas take no more than 2 - 3 hours at the most to complete.

Delivery Sheet: This is the piece of paper that comes with your circulars please keep this and check it of against your pay sheet to make sure you have been paid for all the work you do

Pay: You are paid once a month, on the Wednesday after the third Friday of the month. You are normally paid for all the work done up to about 10 days before the Wednesday but things can change. Your pay is Direct Credited to your bank account this is the only way which you will receive your Salary (pay). Any queries concerning your pay please wait until you get your pay slip before querying your pay.

Pay Rate: an average area will earn you about $ 60 per month less tax  delivering once a week. These pay rates are approximate and a base guide only . Contact us for more detailed rates. Rates are subject to change. The above rates are subject IRD Tax.

Drop Off Point: When you first begin delivering circulars on your first delivery of circulars we will decide on a drop off point this may be at the front door or back door or in the garage it will be a place where you leave your leftovers. When the circulars are dropped we will pickup any leftovers.

When you finish delivering: When you have finished delivering circulars in your area and have completed your area please phone, fax, email or txt me to let me know your area is finished.

Leftover Circulars: Please let me know how many left and then you can put them out in you recycling bin. Unless we ask you to keep them.

Holidays: If you are planning to go on holiday give me warning at least 14 to 21 days in advance especially if you cannot find a reliever. Leaving it to the last minute causes a lot of problems especially when I have to find the reliever. So in your spare time before the next holidays talk to your friends and find a reliever that can fill in for you while you are away on holiday or just away for a few days. Normally it is your responsibility to make sure your circulars are delivered whether you do them or you find someone else. Under some circumstances this is not possible. .

Delivery Days: Saturday/ Sunday AND/OR Tuesday / Wednesday. With the Saturday / Sunday delivery you will recieve your circulars on a Friday and can deliver them either some on Saturday and some Sunday or all on Saturday or all on Sunday the choice is yours.  and same idea applies to the Tuesday Wednesday delivery

Decided Yes: Well then please Email Us with a contact phone number and we will arrange to send you more detailed information including a map of the area. After you recieve this we ask that you decide in 2-3 days whether or not you want to take on the job.   .

Decided No: Well thank you for visiting this site. Any comments please Email us
