The company you will be working for is PMP Distribution

General: You will be required to fold where necessary and deliver the newspapers to all the letterboxes including NO CIRCULARS letterboxes, in your area. You must complete the deliveries on time normally you get 1-2 days to deliver the newspapers any dumping or disposing of will result in loss of job.

Transport: You may deliver the newspapers by walking or by bicycle.

Crate: If using a bicycle you will probably need a crate. An ideal crate is a plastic crate called a Cube Crate available from most Plastic shops or Department stores for around $9. If you have problems getting one contact me and I will do my best to help.

Tax: As a Contractor, you pay 15% withholding tax. This is paid to Inland Revenue . As a contractor you can claim any expenses you have incurred throughout the year to carry out your deliveries e.g. tyres, bike, bags, protective clothing, etc.

When filling out the form please sign and date and put your IRD number on the form (IRD form fourth page in from the front of the book) you must fill out the Tax form regardless of how old you are.

It is a position that requires you to do your deliveries on time and to cover all houses and streets. Remember you are part of a team in Ashburton / Methven Rakaia and Mayfield which is part of the New Zealand Team of Newspaper Deliverers. An extensions of time for delivery of Newspapers will only will given in exceptional circumstances. Not just because you ran out of time with Playing sport or went away for the day. You get 2 days to deliver most Newspapers and most areas take no more than 2 - 3 hours at the most to complete.
